Joondalup Health Campus Nov 11 11 0069

Location: Perth, Western Australia

Overview: Joondalup Health Campus was a key part of John Holland’s continued delivery of healthcare facilities within Western Australia. Part of a long list of recent work in Perth, the facility involved construction of a new central plant building, a three-level public ward block, emergency department, private ward, St John Ambulance centre and parking for 1,500 cars.

Description: John Holland secured the $270 million contract for the redevelopment of the Joondalup Health Campus in Perth in 2009. The redevelopment is jointly funded by the West Australian Government and Ramsay Health Care.

Undertaken across seven key phases and beginning with an upgrade to access roads and car parking facilities, the redevelopment included the construction of a new central plant building, three-level public ward block, emergency department, private ward block, a St John Ambulance centre, parking for 1500 cars and a new childcare facility.

This project follows the successful completion of an earlier expansion to the Joondalup Health Campus by John Holland in 1998. John Holland has partnered with Ramsay Health on a number of key health projects, including several upgrades to the Hollywood Private Hospital.

Joondalup Health Campus was completed in 2013.
